Thank you for considering submitting an abstract for the Vet Ed Down Under 2022. All
abstracts will be peer-reviewed and published in the proceedings.
The symposium theme is ‘Sharing practice, growing together’. We are interested in exploring all perspectives and interpretations of this theme. Abstracts for workshops and posters will be welcomed on a range of topics, including (but not limited to):
- Grassroots learning and teaching
- Clinical skills, professional development
- Employability and entrepreneurship
- Collaborations and cross- disciplinary pollination
- Interprofessional learning
- Students as partners
- Supporting and mentoring
- Internationalisation
- Cultural awareness training
- Cross-cultural experiences
- Entry pathways for equity students
- Visions for our future
There are two types of submissions available; one for posters and one for workshops.
Abstract for a poster presentation.
You can submit an abstract (between 150-250 words) for a poster. The abstract will then be reviewed and you will be provided with feedback/comments.
On acceptance, please print one (A2) poster to be displayed for the duration of the conference AND bring a slide for a presentation slot of 5 minutes (3 minutes talk and 2 minutes questions).
In the presentation, you will have the opportunity to present your abstract in a one slide, which will be displayed behind you while you are talking.

Abstract for a workshop presentation.
You can submit an abstract (between 150-250 words) for an interactive workshop, including a list of any specific presenting requirements, including a maximum number of attendees if necessary.
Workshops provide a great opportunity for delegates to share their teaching practice and/or scholarship. Audio-visual facilities including PowerPoint etc. will be available and there will be some flexibility in terms of room set up (tables can be arranged to facilitate group work and discussion).
Workshops with a practical component, participant activities and involvement is strongly encouraged. Collaborative submissions with presenters from different institutions will also be welcomed.
Abstracts will be peer-reviewed and you will be provided with feedback/comments. You will then prepare your material and presentation for your workshop and be allocated a 1.5 hour workshop slot. Delegates will be able to sign up to your workshop.
